Cooking Demo by Chef Liaison Jamie Simpson, The Culinary Vegetable Institute at Apple Peak
Join Executive Chef Jamie Simpson from The Culinary Vegetable Institute for a cooking demonstration at the Quarry Hill Orchards Apple Peak Fall Gathering on Saturday, October 16th, 2021 @ 1pm. Chef Jamie will be featuring a Kohlrabi Apple Salad and talk about the recipes featured in The Chef's Garden: A Modern Guide to Common and Unusual Vegetables - with Recipes, by Farmer Lee Jones.
The cooking demo is a 45 minute event with a 15-minute Q&A at the end. Please meet us upstairs in the loft at the Market Barn at Quarry Hill Orchards. Your reservation to the cooking demo includes a gift bag of 1 qt. The Chef's Garden Kohlrabi and 1 qt. Quarry Hill Apples. Tickets are $50 each (demo only), or $100 each (demo + signed book) if you would like to reserve a signed copy of the book. Standard price of $60 for signed books will be available at the event.
This demo is part of a much larger event happening at the farm on this day (our annual Apple Peak Fest). Please be prepared to arrive early to find parking (best place to park on event days is off Humm Road). Thanks!
